Conference in Cairo

Since yesterday, Cairo has become a hub of meetings and new opportunities!

We had the pleasure of organizing a press conference in Cairo as part of the “Time for Apples from Europe” campaign.

The event was attended by representatives from the fruit-growing industry and administration:

• Mirosław Maliszewski – President of the Polish Association of Fruit Growers,
• Henryk Smolarz – Director of the Krajowy Ośrodek Wsparcia Rolnictwa,
• Łukasz Leśniewski – Second Secretary of the Polish Embassy in Cairo,
• Radosław Rybicki – Director of the Department of Agriculture of the Mazovian Voivodeship.

The conference focused on the potential for further trade cooperation between the European Union and Egypt, particularly regarding apple exports to Middle Eastern markets. Discussions also covered key challenges facing the fruit-growing industry, such as climate change and legal considerations.

A special highlight of the conference was a culinary show by Chef Mohamed Salah, who masterfully combined European apples with Middle Eastern culinary art.
